The major aim of the International Fritz Kreisler Violin Competition is to support highly talented violin soloists of all nationalities.

During the competition by:

• Providing free accommodation for the young artists that are invited to the competition in music loving families of members of the Viennese Rotary Clubs.
• Offering up to four performance opportunities during the competitive selection rounds at the Wiener Konzerthaus and other important venues in Vienna, including the opportunity to work with the ORF Orchestra.
• The six main prizes and special prizes awarded to the best participants. The prizes offered to the winners should help them to grow in their careers.

After the competition by:

• Arranging concert engagements for the top prize winners (solo performances with orchestra and recitals with piano).
• Аrranging radio, television and CD recordings for the top prize winners.
